I am beyond euphoric. I'm literally flying!
I found an absolutely stunning piece of music this evening; "Comptine d'un autre été / La démarche" by Yann Tiersen. It's from Amelie, but it wasn't included in the normal release of the soundtrack. I've been searching for it for ages, which makes finding it all the more sweet.
I'm a dork, I know this, but listening to it is beyond wonderful! I'd upload it, but I bought it off iTunes so I don't think anybody would be able to play it.
On another note, I watched Amelie for the fortieth time the other day. I grow more and more in love with it with each viewing. It's gotten to the point where I don't need the subtitles for evey line. Plus, I speak a little French, so that helps. As Brian Thacker said, not enough that I could hold a deep and detailed discussion on the socio-economic ramifications of the introduction of the Euro, but enought to get me by.
Oooh, I stumbled across Top Gear in Africa yesterday, which is really funny. If you haven't seen it, pop over to the Tube of You. It'll make your day.
( A few thoughts on Requiem )
Now I'm really trying to tame the plot-bunnies. I have a somewhat angsty/redemptive piece in mind. It would be along the tune to Requiem, but it would have Abby/Gibbs and Lila. I'd like to explore the possibility of Abby being hurt by Gibbs in this episode. A look at how Gibbs treats his family when faced with the past.
Only the Doctor would know how it turns out, mind you.
Edit: A little spider just ran across my bed. I think he's the same little spider that's been running across my bed each night for the past week. He seems to really like my duvet and he scurries at a million miles an hour. I can't kill spiders, because it's not my way, so every night I brush him to the floor, and every night he comes back. If he bites me, relocation will be arranged. My whole family has this apathy to spiders. Unless they're poisonous or looking us in the eye, we just leave them be.
I think I shall name him Bernie. All my daddy long legs' are called Harry and George. It's easier to avoid confusion.
Also - I snagged the link from
dave7 - a blooper of David Tennant from Human Nature/Family of Blood. It is HILARIOUS and if you're...well, you know, slightly in love with him as I suspect half of my flist is (good flist!) then you should check it out. I might do something stupid, like eat a PEAR!"
I have both the Ninth Doctor and the Tenth Doctor in my header. Can it get any better? I think not.
