They have the same setting, but they're not chronologically related.
They have the same setting, but they're not chronologically related.
Too preoccupied with Colonel Mann, Gibbs forgets to follow through on a promise to Abby.
Can anybody point me in the direction of Tonks fic that has her dealing with being part of the Black family? Lupin/Tonks is preferable. I'm also looking for some Tonks and Sirius friendship pieces. Cheers!
So, here we have some sex, because Abby/Gibbs sex...*seeks justification* is hot? Anyway, I think I like this one a little more than most of my other adult stories. I always find NC-17 fics slightly...weird. At least mine, because it feels like writing an oft written plot with a less than surprising outcome, no puns intended. I think it's just the potential to trip over in the Minefield Of Cliches that comes with smutfic. Kisses tasting like sunshine and the like. Of which there are none, might I add. Kisses, there are a plenty. Anyway, it is quite shippy.
Went to see Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix tonight. Thoughts on that shall come, but for now all I will say is that I love Lupin and that the entire movie should be about him. Tonks, too.
A dormant serial killer returns to the scene, and somehow he's connected to Abby.
On a side note, I've started drinking my tea in what is technically a soup bowl with a handle. I am the Lorelai Gilmore of Earl Grey.
EDIT: Sick, sick sick. Should not have had that much tea.
It's just a little something. I might try a few more variations on the theme.
Three different times Abby and Gibbs wake up.
The first one might be a bit weird, because I've been watching a lot of Doctor Who the past few days, so the Doctor's character is in my brain. Also, I wrote it with just pronouns, so it can swing either way.
It's not adult, but it's not an after school special.
Basically, Gibbs has to deal with the possibility of Abby being sick. There's mild nudity, but it's not sexual. I guess you'd call it mature, but not adult. Intimate, I'd venture.
So, when he walks into the bathroom after having put Lila to sleep, to find Abby sitting on the edge of the bath, her fingers nimbly exploring her left breast and her gaze contemplative, he’s not prepared for the way his breath leaves him, the way his knees feel weak and the way his heart splutters in his chest, as if it can’t decide to work overtime or not at all.
Basically, Mann finally brings her 2IC, a Captain Brian O'Donnell to NCIS for a case and everybody is shocked to learn that he and Abby have a history, It's just another of my slightly AU attempts to flesh out Abby's past. Also, Gibbs comes to certain realizations.
Yay! I got my NCIS ficathon prompts the other day. They're AWESOME and I think I'll write all three. I feel bad though, because the person I'm writing them for...well, let's just say that they're not new to my style.
My muse isn't cooperating with me at the moment. Plots are elusive little creatures.
Oh! New TARDIS layout. I'm so happy with it. The Tardis represents so much, adventure and the like. My little TARDIS icon makes me smile. I wish I had my own Tardis. Or, you know, my own Doctor.
Also, any Melbournians? How fracking cold is it!?! I went to Vic Market yesterday in five layers and a hood. It is just SO cold. Nice to see some rain, although probably a bit too much for NSW. The paper said Adelaide's water storage is only about 30 weeks, so let's hope they get some rain.
I leave for Singapore in 36 hours!
Eeeeeeeek!
There had better be lots of fic waiting for me when I get home! *glares* :)
Anyway, before I go, I'm posting these two fics. They're Lila ones; the first is about Kelly and Shannon, the second is about Lila's friendship with Tony!
I was thinking about my favourite Abby/Gibbs scenes yesterday, and I'm curious to know what scene you guys like the most.
The one that really gets me is in Frame Up, the episode where Tony gets framed for murder. I love when Gibbs comes into the lab, because he knows that Abby'll be upset. He sets out to make sure she's ok. I love how he's touching her thoughout the entire scene, rubbing her neck and massaging her back. Watch his hands right after he asks her if she's alright - there's a high angle that looks down on Abby and you can see her back. He's looking at her really intently, as if convincing her she's not to blame is really important to him. Plus, he kisses her, so of course it's great!
So! If you'd be so kind, tell me your favourite scene!
Can I just take a second to be completely crude? I made these two icons tonight, snapped from Angel of Death (but it's not at all spoilery) and they look like Gibbs has just done something terribly evil to Abby.
. . . .
Now, onto the fic. I've been cleaning my computer and I've stumbled across some old fic. Much like the last post, this is a collection of different things. Think of them as McGee's 'free writing' in that they're not as polished as other stuff. The grammar and spelling is all fine, hopefully, but the direction of the story isn't as studied and planned.
Gibbs teaches Abby how to shoot. Secrets are revealed. Also, Gibbs says probably the sweetest thing I'll ever make him say, because mushy declarations make me squicky. You may or may not have noticed that in all my fics, I've NEVER had them say "I love you."
. . . .
. . . .
This one's the naughty one I asked about in my last post. Just a bit of...er, quick fun.
There was supposed to be a third story but the page doesn't seem to be able to handle so much copied from Word. Absolutely pathetic. It can hande dozens of images, but for some reason it can't wrap it's head around a few thousand words. Now I'm in a bad mood.
Here we have a collection of Abby and Abby/Gibbs drabbles, one sentence fics and longer stories. About 2,000 words in all. The last is slightly adult but can easily be skipped. There's some fluff, some funny stuff, some angst. Ziva's knife throwing lessons return!
Oh! One of them features Gil Grissom and Greg House! I wanted to throw some Grissom into a fic, but because I don't really watch the show, couldn't do it extensively.
He heard the gravelly creak of brick grinding against brick and knew, without turning around, that Jamal Malik had opened the secret doorway. Paula and Tony stood in front of him and he watched them turn, watched them come to the realization that by the time they reached Jamal, it would be too late. None of that mattered in the end. She was there for the ceremony, all in black, her hair in low pigtails. She was the closest, and she’d always been brave.
Also, I can't remember who this is going to make happy, but I know it's somebody. I now LOVE Top Gear.
“Why,” she fixed him with a stare, “have you got Abby’s shoes here?”
He took a swig of his beer. “She left them here.”
- Mann gets a little look into the personal friendship between Abby and Gibbs, and doesn't quite like what she sees.
Also, Jane? I hope everything is going ok and that your mum is feeling better. You're in my thoughts, my dear.
He’d seen her body prepare for death; seen her blood spill out from her and onto the pavement, into his jacket and over his hands. He’d heard her breathing hitch and gasp and slow down and he’d stared into her eyes, eyes that had lost their focus, as the mind controlling them slipped into darkness. Quite frankly, the warmth of her skin was something he wanted pressed against him at all times.
A big, big thankyou to all the people who reviewed this. My appreciation knows no bounds.
I felt I was neglecting Ducky and leaving the issue of Lt. Colonel Mann unresolved, so both are in this chapter.
Erm, that's not important though, because the shipping begins. This chapter is a bit more light-hearted than the previous ones.
“If you tell anyone that I did this, I’m going to take Bert to a dark deserted place.”
She smiled, knowing that he knew better than to mess with the hippo. “Relax, I won’t tell anyone you’re going to strip for me.”
He raised his eyebrows. “If you even mention that word, I’m going to take you to a dark, deserted place.”
“And do what with me?” She bit her tongue through a smile.
- As things settle down, Gibbs helps Abby come to terms with her injuries. DiNozzo has some surprising and disturbing news about the shooter.
Even if you don't read it, there is an unbelievably LOVELY picture of Gibbs/Mark under the cut, because I felt it was my civic duty to spread the wealth. Makes me all girly.
“Well, I looked.” She nodded down at her chest. “I kind of resemble a patchwork quilt.”
Abby's prognosis is revealed. Tony and Abby share a sweet little moment. Gibbs? Well, he's up to something strange.
Just as the target got into his car, Gibbs looked away from the scope and up into Abby’s face.
Anyway, here is part two of A Second Chance!
Gibbs befriends an old lady in the rain, and Abby's mom and dad arrive at the hospital.
He’d been sure that if he kept Abby close, took care of her as he’d planned to right from the start, then she’d always be safe.
Hehehe, that should get your attention. Written before I'd heard of or seen Cover Story.
He took off his NCIS windbreaker, rolled it up and pressed it to her. She cried out and he felt something vile rise in the back of his throat.
Well, here's two fics I wrote this morning Today's a public holiday!
The first is slightly adult, not much, but just a tiny bit. It's a drabble. This is my 'if I was a lesbian, I'd be for Abby all the way!' fic.
The second one is something that I've been toying with for a while. I may even write a longer fic based on its premise. I'm actually quite excited by the idea! I'm trying to figure out a way to explain it to get you to read it, but I'm awful at summaries, so just read it! :)
- Abby is not who they thought she was.
In a world of agents, spies and terrorists, Abby kept the best secrets of them all.
Prepare yourselves for a shock.
We have angst! It's not deeply angsty, but it can, in no way, shape or form, be considered fluffy! It's a bit different from my usual stuff, (obviously) so tell me what you think!
*does tribal dance around laptop...don't quite know why*
A post-Hiatus fic, that deals with Abby, Tony and Gibbs.
Some things, it seemed, were just not his anymore.
How cool are these lyrics? It's from Chumbawamba's "Don't Try This At Home."
gunpowder and modem
and a dream of liberty
and then they'll tell you;
don't try this at home
The first line is so cool!
All explanations shall follow the story, because I don't want to give it away.
Vague references to 2.01, "See No Evil."
