Karma. It really is a bitch.

As I was walking into work today, something on the pavement caught my eye. An iPod.

It's one of those 8GB ones, just a baby. It was sitting in the middle of NOWHERE.

I've decided to put a poster up on a tree where I found it. If somebody rings, I'll ask for them to prove it's theirs - it has a name in the settings and I'll get them to list a few of the artists.

At work, I kept thinking something has to happen to counteract this.

It did. When I got home, Amy told me that mum had her purse stolen today.

I couldn't believe it. We traipsed around some notoriously pick-pockety locations, and then she gets it snatched at home. To be honest with you, I'm not entirely sure she didn't just leave it somewhere. She's completely scattered these days.

Damn.

You know what? I want a Real Life Doctor Who friend - I feel almost lonely in my fandom. You guys are THE LOVE, don't get me wrong, but I don't see you. I want someone who I can watch the episodes with and squee with. I think I need to trade in my friends for some newer models. *g*

I hear you. My old boss is kinda into it, but just doesn't GET IT, you know? The closest I have is my heavily tattooed drunken loud male friend I've mentioned before, and he's pretty into the show, but he won't SHUT UP when we try to watch it!! Also, I need a girl-friend to watch the show and squee over Tennant with.

Sorry to hear about your mum's purse, hopefully she did not lose too many valuables!

Sorry to hear about your mum's purse. :/ Have you checked all the places she'd been? Maybe someone handed it in somewhere? (I know, unlikely, but it's what I'd do, so I have to assume it's what others would do...)

As for the Real Life Who Fan... thought about the local fan clubs? I considered going to one of the ones here, but... chickened right out. *g*

Or... maybe consider watching simultaneously with someone?

That's awful about your mum's purse! I hope it's just that she misplaced it and she finds it somewhere.

And I agree on the Real Life Who friend. One of my guy friends just started watching it the other week...but he's not really into it.

Hi! Yikes, we *do* have a lot of shared interests, don't we!? Lano and Woodley? SQUEE! I love them and miss them so.

Ah, Queensland. I've only ever been to Surfer's. I'm from the lovely Melbourne.

*friends back*

Your mum is not having a good time of it...
Also: Real life Doctor Who friends are the shiz.
I finished watching The Doctor's Daughter yesterday, ran around in mad, happy circles, and then about 10 seconds later, my friend was ALREADY calling me to squee.
SEARCH SOMEONE OUT DO IT. :D
