Ok, I'm finally a little homesick.

I'm in London at the moment, and it is by far the best place I've been on the whole trip. The underground is easy - I realize now how MIND-BOGGLINGLY difficult Melbourne's train system is. If I hadn't lived there my entire life, I wouldn't have a clue. Trains run from different platforms, skip some stations and not others, and then skip those stations depending on what time of the day it is. It's crazy at home.

As it is, I'm missing my bed and struth, I'm missing my laptop. Desperately. It's probably a good thing that I didn't take it, because I'd never have left the wi-fi hotel rooms, but I miss it.

Most of all, I miss my KEYBOARD! The one I'm using now is impossible. It's the size of pinkie finge. Everything is squished and moved about three inches to the left.

London hasn't been anywhere near as expensive as I thought it'd be. For all my pre-leaving panic, I'm actually (and I never thought Id say this in my entire life) swimming in money. I have 500 euros that I just never used, as well as 100 swiss francs. Keep in mind I only had 150 swiss francs to start with.

We've seen heaps of places but, most importantly:

The Shakespeare Globe Theatre!

Not only do I love Shakepeare (Hamlet in particular) but Doctor Who! David had stood there! SQUEEEEEE!

Speaking of Doctor Who, I watched The Planet of the Ood last night, and it'so ok again tonight. I have such love for Donna. Everything about her is brilliant. She's hilarious but still incredibly touching.

Anyway, must be off. I missing you all terribly and I hope you're well.

Oh, and [info]dave7? One of my boots broke yesterday. The heel came clean off and I fell over. *sniffle* I was broken. The others have been holding up nicely though, so nah!

Also? There's a telly channel here on satellite, called Dave. It's catchphrase is 'the home of wit.' I laughed for about ten hours over that.

It's really lovely! The weather is perfect for me. I'm currently right near Lancaster Gate Station.

I am however, not loving the internet cafe I'm in. It stuffed me around the first time I used it, and now that I've come back with my headphones, it won't play any youtube videos, even though the computer I was on before did.

*growl*

Shooooot. *is totally jealous of you*

Although, I'm not jealous of homesickness or the broken boot. That part not so much. ;)

Even just when people mention the Globe I get crazy excited.

And Donna is fantastic! :D

Eeee! Welcome to Blighty!

Glad London's being nice to you *g*. Though I'm amused by your comment that the underground's easy! It confuses the bejesus out of me. I'm a useless country bumpkin though who ends up in a mad panic at just the thought of using it.

Donna is indeed awesome & I suck for having doubted her :-)

Oh how I love Dave! Lots of Top Gear & other silliness

Oh no! You didn't hurt yourself, did you?

I hope you didn't. Mostly because, if you didn't, I can say:

Hah! Hah!! See what you get for not taking sensible walking shoes? Hah! *g*

*G* Dave, the home of wit. Couldn't be more TRUE.

Sounds like you're having fun - I'm glad! And hey, yay for extra money! :))

This is Iby - can't be bothered to sign in.

No, I didn't hurt myself. Actually, I feel over in Paris (not because of the shoes but because of the klutziness) and this dashing French bloke rushed to help me. Didn't speak a word of English though, so...

My other shoes have been GREAT! Even the ones that broke were very comfortable to the last. Actually, in line with my no jeans, I also have no runners. *is ashamed* I have chucks, does that count?

It's a really good channel - the Top Gear never stops. I just thought you might find it amusing.

Ooooh, hey. What did you think of Planet of the Ood? I really liked it, and it was my first Donna episode. I've now seen the Rose mentions in the first two eps - her walking away and the 'she is returning' - spooky!

The only problem is that I don't have the space for lots of things, even if I have the money. It's too heavy!

What've you been up to? Anything fun? Oh, I did notice an old post of yours the other day, but the time maxed out before I could comment, about you getting two distinctions. Well done! That's really great!

Lazy, you are. ;)

A dashing French bloke, eh? (Did he have dark hair? All dashing men have dark hair, otherwise they'd be charming. Charming men? Blonde. Or a lighter shade of brown. And... I'm rambling. Sorry. What was I talking about?)

No jeans. No runners. You're... you... *girl*. *g*

That settles it - Dave = the best. ;)

I quite liked Planet of the Ood, even though I'm not an Ood fan in general. (The song was just gorgeous.) I was going to do another recap, but was turned off it. :/

The Rose mentions are great, aren't they? Makes me so excited. *g*

I haven't been up to much - work and uni mostly. But I've been writing loads and - oh, I went to a Matchbox Twenty concert last week. So. Good. :)

Oh, I did notice an old post of yours the other day, but the time maxed out before I could comment, about you getting two distinctions. Well done! That's really great!

*hugs you* :)

I loved London, and am so glad you're enjoying it now!

I quite liked riding the tube as well. I got to go to the globe theatre too. Which was amazing!!! And even though I went in '05, when I saw David stand exactly where I stood, I had a happy moment within... :)

Love Donna!!!!! Brilliant lady.
